POLICIES:

• AGE REQUIREMENT FOR RESERVATION:  Minimum age requirement is 21 years.  
• CREDIT CARD DEPOSITS: You will be required to show the credit you are making your deposit with and proper ID to match at time of check-in.  There is a one time 2% Credit card service fee on total amount of the reservation.
• THIRD PARTY AND AFFILIATES POLICIES AND RATES:  Our site may include links to other sites on the Internet that owned and operated by third parties or affiliates. You acknowledge that we are not responsible for the availability of , or any content located on or through any third party site. Your use of those third party sites is subject to the terms of use and privacy policies of each site, and we encourage you to review the terms of use and privacy policies of third party sites. You must go through the third party to request changes or cancellations to your reservation. The hotel will not make changes over the phone for your reservation unless it comes through the third party agnecy.
• DEPOSIT AND STRICT CANCELLATION POLICY :  Prepay deposit of first night room and tax is non-refundable if cancelled less than 7 days by 4pm before arrival.  There is a $25 cancellation fee for all other cancellations made with 8 or more days advance notice.  
• DATE CHANGES:  Changing reservation arrival or departure date may affect your nightly rate.  Changing dates 7 or less days from arrival will be a $50 fee per reservation.
• NO SHOW POLICY: If a guest does not arrive by 6am the day after agreed check-in date, they will be considered a NO SHOW. The deposit is non-refundable and will be forfeited. Any remaining nights they have will be cancelled at that time.
• ADDITIONAL ROOMS: Please note rate may change based on inventory.
• EARLY DEPARTURES: We are sorry but we are unable to give a refund for early departures.
• WEATHER: We do not offer refunds or free cancellations due to weather.
• CHECK-IN: After 4:00 p.m.  CHECK-OUT: By 11:00 a.m. No late check outs offered.
• CAMPFIRES AND FIREWORKS: Guest are responsible for their own grill or fire pit. The only accaptable place to use them is across the street  away from the hotel. All fires must be off the sand in a raised fire pit to be permited. 
• TRAVELING TO MEARS, MI: It is the guest responsibility to do research before coming to Mears, Silver Lake Sand Dunes area. During the off-season, many businesses have reduced hours or are closed altogether. It is the guests responsibility to plan ahead for their vacation and make plans accordingly.  All rooms have a maximum occupancy limit. If additional occupants or visitors arrive, additional charges or cancellation of the reservation without refund may occur.
• PARKING: Parking in the hotel main parking lot is provided for one vehicle per room. Extra vehicles, trailers and oversize vehicles will park across the street in overflow parking lot.
• SMOKING, PETS, AND OUTSIDE VISITORS: Smoking/Vaping, pets, and visitors are not permitted on the grounds. If found, there will be charged an additional $250 and service will be refused without a refund. There is a designated smoking area near the front entrance.
• Taxes: Rates are subject to a 6% Michigan sales tax and a 5% County room tax.
• Cribs and Roll-a-way Beds available for $10 each/per day; based on availability. One per room. 
• Saturday nights and Holidays may require a 2 or 3 night minimum stay. 
• Water is shallow at the sea wall and off the dock. NO DIVING permitted.
